height gigantic tallest statue of Sri Kote Anjaneya Swamy is located at the entrance
of Sri Kote Anjaneya Temple at Tumkur belongs Tumakuru district under Bangalore
division in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located 71 kms towards north
from state capital city Bangalore by the side of NH-4. The relative size of
statue can be estimated from the size of moving maruti car/van & people on
the way.
The statue was
inaugurated on 28th May 2005. Temple idol is one of the Sri
Vyasaraja (or Vyasarajaru) (1447-1548) consecrated idols of Hanuman. Sri
Vyasaraja was Rajaguru of historical Vijayanagar Empire. He was also guru of
the likes of Kanakadasaand Purandaradasa. Over five hundred years ago Sri
Vyasaraja consecrated 732 idols of Lord Hanuman (Anjaneya or Mukhya Prana
Devaru) throughout India.About Me
