Parmarth Niketan Ashram

Big statue of Lord Hanuman ‘tore-off his chest to show Sita-Ram residing in his heart’ is located at the entrance of Parmarth Niketan Ashram; Rishikesh city comes under Dehradun district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is situated about 43 kms south west of the state capital city Dehradun, around 76 kms from Mussoorie and approximately 25 kms north of the holy city Haridwar.
Rishikesh is known as the 'Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas and 'Yoga Capital of the World'. It is known as the pilgrimage town and regarded as one of the holiest places to Hindus.
Rishikesh and Haridwar is the first in India to be given the title of "Twin National Heritage Cities". Rishikesh is a meat and alcohol free city due to its spiritual and mystical environment.
